Options Trading - Basic Options Strategies

Sunday November 18, 2007

Last week, I introduced the first section of the options trading course, that covered the basics of options trading and options markets. This week, the options trading course continues with the second section, called Basic Options Strategies.

Basic Options Strategies are single direction strategies, that are implemented using combinations of underlying stock, single call contracts, and single put contracts. This week's strategies are all bullish strategies, meaning that they want the price to go up in order to make a profit.

Each strategy includes a detailed description, instructions for making trades using the strategy, and the risk / reward calculations along with a risk / reward chart. The bullish options strategies are available in the options strategies section of the day trading site, and as shown below :

If you have any questions about any of the options strategies presented in the second section of the options trading course, leave a comment in the blog, and I will be glad to provide an additional explanation.
