Live Trading Room Update
I have received a very positive response to the day trading site's live trading room, with traders (and potential traders) from both Europe and the US interested in being part of the trading room.
I have been looking at the various options with regard to trading room software and services, and at the moment it appears as though Gatherplace is the best choice. This service offers all of the features that the trading room will need (such as live audio, chart sharing, and text chat), and does not cost anything for the trading room's participants. I considered using Hotcomm, which provides all of the same features, but has monthly fees for both the host and the participants, which I wanted to avoid. If anyone has any other suggestions (perhaps something that is free for the host as well :-), please leave a comment in the blog to let me know. I am also considering having guest speakers in the room, such as traders who specialize in a particular market (e.g. agricultural markets), or a particular style of trading (e.g. scalping).

Great idea I use trading123 and they use Hotcomm and it works great no charge to the client’s don’t know about Host
Paltalk is free for both host and participants…has audio and text chat but no chart sharing…another option would be to charge a minimal amount say 5.00 per member per month to defray the cost to the host of gatherplace
Paltalk has several daytrading chat rooms one of which I know about where the admin tells everyone in the chat room to “now go over to TradingRooms” (has chart share). The Paltalk chat room stays open and it provides the audio for the session at TradingRooms chart share.
