Review of the Stock Trader's Almanac 2009

Wednesday October 22, 2008

Have you ever wondered how many bullish and bearish days there are in a year? Or, perhaps you think that every Thursday in March is a good day to be short, and you would like to test your theory? If you have these types of questions about the markets, there is a new book available that might help you find the answers.

The Stock Trader's Almanac 2009 is full of various statistics about the US markets (specifically the stock indicies), and it can help you answer the above questions and many more such questions. Even if you are not interested in this type of statistical information yourself (maybe you are a system trader, or you don't trade the US markets), the Stock Trader's Almanac 2009 might make a good Christmas gift for a trading friend.

I have read and reviewed the Stock Trader's Almanac for next year. The review includes an introduction to the book and the authors, a description of each section of the book, and my comments and recommendations for which traders will benefit most from the book.
