Hanging Man and Hammer

The eighth and ninth japanese candlestick patterns to be explained are identical patterns, but in their respective contexts they have completely different meanings. The hanging man and the hammer respectively, are both single candlestick patterns, are both somewhat easy to identify on a price chart, and are two of the most popular indicators of upcoming price movement.
