Profile of NobleTrading
NobleTrading (sometimes known as Noble) is a day trading brokerage that is based in the US, and offers direct access to most of the exchanges in the US. NobleTrading will accept traders from other countries, and accounts can be maintained in non US currencies. NobleTrading allows trading of their markets via their own trading software, but does not provide their own clearing services. NobleTrading is an Internet oriented brokerage, so they can be contacted via a live chat, and their accounts can be managed via their web site.
Opening an Account
An account with NobleTrading can be opened via their web site, with the final documentation being sent to NobleTrading via a fax. The account opening process should only take approximately twenty minutes to complete, and an account can be setup within an hour. The initial equity deposit can be as low as $500 for a cash account, or $2,000 for a margin account (which would be required to trade any of the popular day trading markets). NobleTrading accounts are assigned an individual account representative, that the trader can contact for customer service and trading support.
Trading Fees
NobleTrading offers a variety of different commission structures depending upon the markets being traded. For stock trading, they offer a choice of a flat commission of $7.95 per trade, or a per share commission of $0.008 per share. For futures trading, they offer a flat commission of $1.50 per contract. NobleTrading has some of the lowest commissions available (especially when compared with traditional brokerages), but they may also charge a monthly fee for their trading software. The trading software fee ranges from $0 to $149 depending upon the trading software being used and the number of trades that are made each month. NobleTrading's market data fees range from $15 to $120 depending upon the exchange and the level of market data required.
Trading Software
NobleTrading provides a variety of trading software depending upon the features that the trader requires. Their trading software that is suitable for day trading is either NobleTrader, The Shield, or NobleFX (for forex traders). NobleTrading's trading software is programmed in C++ and/or Visual Basic, so it will run on Windows, and it should be relatively fast and stable. NobleTrading's trading software allows trading of all of the markets that NobleTrading offers via a single interface, and also provides some account management features. NobleTrading's trading software also provides an API (a programming interface) in C++ and/or Visual Basic, and this can be used to program order entry interfaces or automate trading via other programs.
