Enter the default transparency level as a percentage into the "Transparency Level (%)" text box.
A transparency level of 100% means that the highlight will be completely transparent (i.e. the highlight will not be filled at all), and a transparency level of 0% means that the highlight will be opaque (i.e. the background will not be visible at all).
