If your trading system has a daily profit target, and you have reached your target, then you should stop trading for the day. You should close your Sierra Chart charting software first, and then close your TWS trading software. Otherwise, Sierra Chart will display a warning message about being disconnected from TWS because the interface connection will have been broken.
If you have not yet reached your daily profit target, and your market is still active, you can continue trading from step # 5 (Wait for a Trade).
