Profile of the Z Futures Market

The Z futures market is based upon the FTSE 100 (Financial Times Stock Exchange) stock index, which is the primary stock index of Euronext Liffe in the UK. The FTSE 100 index is calculated using prices of the highest 100 companies (in terms of capitalization) from the London Stock Exchange. The Z futures market is traded on the LIFFE CONNECT electronic trading system from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM Central European Time. The Z futures market has a daily trading volume of approximately 100000 contracts, and a daily price range of approximately 80 points (160 ticks).
